I was at the one in Paris. Got contacted by a guy from Beggars on Monday to confirm I could come. He gave me the location this morning only - guess it was meant to be kept secret until the last minute. It was in a very cool and old style place which I did not know about, called the Elephant Paname, you can check the pictures to get a feeling.
We got there at 6:30, got free Champaign and food and then went upstairs to the listening room (which is the one in the link, picture it with shutters on the windows
https://goo.gl/images/r3eYRD) They had "fake" electric candle on the floor, nice couches/seats on one side and a Mac book + a soundsystem on the other.
Before they started the music, a girl came to dance for a couple of minutes. It was quite impressive. I did not get her name but she is one of the dancer in the movie.
After she left, they started the music. With the nice atmosphere and setting, only the light from candles, it was something quite special, eerie and intense, hypnotic at times... The album is great overall even though you can fell some tracks might have little interest as standalone without the movie. A few tracks are with Thom vocals, some with a choir - with baroque sacred music kind of sound- and the rest is instrumental, with a 70's feeling to it, some are very "drone". A bit hard to have a definitive opinion or comment much more than that after only one listen especially in those unique conditions.
I did not take any picture of the room, but there was nothing else appart from the old school furniture, soundsystem and candles (nothing on the walls etc...). No gifts either (I was naively hopping for a vinyl of the album) except the free drinks before.
Overall it was a very nice evening, great location and atmosphere to listen to that soundtrack :-)
